Little Truman spent the first 6 years of his life looking for his forever home. From home to shelter to home to home, it was never quite the right home and he was given up again and again. After months of being on my website, at long last the right home came along for Truman. Someone with no other dogs for Truman to argue with, compete with, but someone to give him lots of love and attention and best of all take him for walks, which he loves. Truman had to travel a lot of miles to get to his new home but with the help of wonderful people, we made it happen. It was a glorious day when Truman finally found his forever home. We wish you the best Truman.

These two girls are Hope & Faith, 2 long hair dapple sisters who's owner had to give them up due to a move. They are both very sweet and although they didn't have to be adopted together, we were really hoping we could keep them together. We received a wonderful application from a couple way up in northern CA who wanted to adopt them both and was even willing to make the long drive down as far as Bakersfield where we met them. Faith and Hope are now happily living in northern CA in their forever home and we're thrilled they were able to stay together.

Little Peanut was found in central CA by a Bassett rescue and turned over to Dachshund rescue. Peanut had several medical problems, non serious, but awful teeth problems from lack of care. This little guy has gone through a lot but as with all dogs, there is a right home for each one. After 5 months little Peanut finally found his forever home, something he has never had. We are very happy for Peanut, who is now living with his new brother Ralph, and are thrilled he can finally settle in and not have to move anymore.

This beautiful dapple boy was surrendered at the shelter as so many are in these days of lost jobs and lost homes.
Lucky for us, it didn't take long to find this little guy a new forever home.
His new name is Pippin and he lives with another doxie and 2 beautiful greyhounds which he seems to get along with just fine.
We're very happy things turned out so well for you, Pippin.

Little Lolli was one of 5 doxies of the same family dumped at the local kill shelter. With her sweet personality and her cute little face and her one blue eye, it wasn't hard to find her a new home. Lolli actually picked this home as the one she wanted to live in.
We hope Lolli lives a long happy life with her sister Gertie.

Although I had Sylvie as one of my gang for a little over a year, I felt she wasn't getting the amount of attention she would like and wasn't getting out for walks which she loved. So I felt it was better to let her have a home where she would have less dogs to compete with and more attention from her family. Sylvie is now living in Ventura where it's cooler for her with her curly coat and she can get walks on the beach with her new mom. She also has a doggie buddy named Duncan. We miss you Sylvie but wish you a long and happy life.

Little Jazzy was one of 5 puppies who were left at a kill shelter even though the people who brought them were told they would be euthanized due to their age and not having a mother present. The people left the puppies anyway. Lucky for them, a rescue was there picking up another dog and offered to take the puppies. They were taken to a foster home and cared for. I was contacted and asked to help find homes since I am a Dachshund rescue. Little Jazzy quickly found a home in northern CA and is now named Ginger where she will be dearly loved. Wishing you a happy long life little Ginger.

This little girl is Sweetie. She was counting down her days at the local animal shelter when we rescued her out of there. She was a happy little girl who had so many people who wanted to adopt her. As they say "some people's trash is another person's treasure." And now Sweetie is in a home where she is considered a treasure. Her new name is Annabelle. Have a great life Annabelle.

I rescued little Ruby from the local kill shelter. It appeared she had had a litter of puppies not long ago. So after she finished nursing her pups, the people dumped her. They didn't put much value on this little girl, but many people were interested in making her part of their family. This is Ruby with her new family including her buddy Cooper who is a Jack Russell mix. We're so happy for you Ruby and wish you a long happy life.
