NEWEST HAPPY TAILS
Doc was one of 26 doxies left behind when his breeder died. Rescues took all the dogs in and took care of their medical issues, had them bathed and groomed and started looking for new homes. One family was looking for a wire hair doxie as a companion for their other wire hair doxie. So Doc (black and tan) headed up north to meet his new family and start a new life as a pet and no longer a breeding stud. Doc had medical issues and should never have been bred but that didn't stop the breeder.

Doc is very happy in his new home life and they are very happy with him. Things will only get better for Doc. I love you Doc and am happy for you. Enjoy your new life.

Schnitzel & Dad
Poor Schnitzel found himself dumped at the local kill shelter. He was poorly trained and obviously not important in anyone's life. We rescued Schnitzel and after a few weeks received an application from northern CA to adopt Schnitzel. His family had never had a dog before but were always cat people so it was quite a change for them. It took a little time but Schnitzel made his way into their hearts and is now an important part of the family, going on vacations to Tahoe and everything!
Good job Schnitzel. Glad you're enjoying life.

Cami, Koda and their new family These two beautiful doxies and their 2 puppies were on their way to the shelter when an angel intercepted and got them into rescue. These two beautiful doxies were so bonded and could not be separated. I was lucky to find them a loving home together where they can live out the rest of their lives as husband and wife.

Dolly was only 4 months old and already in a kill shelter. Because a rumor started that she was sick, no one adopted her after 9 days and I was the lucky one who sprung her from prison. She was sooo happy to get out of there and just had a minor case of giardia which was quickly treated.
Dolly was such a happy little girl and was adopted by a couple who have always had doxies. Now Dolly's name is Molly and she has 2 big older brothers.

Mandy with her new Mommy and Daddy
Mandy was a tiny little red dapple girl who found herself in the local shelter. With a bad case of kennel cough I thought she'd never eat and she was so skinny. When she finally started feeling well, she started eating like a little pig, got her ugly teeth cleaned and was adopted to her new home where she will be spoiled rotten being the only dog. Her name is changed to Daisy and she's one happy girl.

      Ledger and Family
When we got Ledger out of the shelter, his broken leg was wrapped incorrectly. By the time the vet unwrapped his leg, it was very infected and as hard as she tried, the leg could not be saved. Ledger went through a lot before healing and being able to run as fast as any doxie can. It takes special people to take on a special needs dog. But one family didn't see Ledger as a handicapped doxie, just a very beautiful one. So Ledger is now home with his other doggie companions and a family who loves him. You will always be special to us Ledger.

Gigi was given to me by a woman who was moving and couldn't take Gigi with her. Boy am I glad. Gigi had spent days in the garage waiting for her mom to come home and had a bed in the garage at night. When she came to me she was very shy and insecure, had no idea about sitting on someone's lap, playing with other dogs, playing with toys or being housebroken and using a doggie door. But it didn't take her long to learn life was gonna get a whole lot better. She loved nothing more than sitting on your lap, being petted and dozing off to sleep. She learned to love toys, use the ramp to the couch and bed and flew in and out of the doggie door. She turned into one very happy loving little girl. So when I was approached by a couple who had already adopted their black and tan doxie from me about adopting Gigi, I couldn't say no since Dexter is a happy boy in a wonderful home. Gigi was a joy for the time she was here and I wish her many years of the love and happiness that she had to wait for. Thanks for all the love Gigi. You put your pawprint on my heart.
