| After 3 litters at the age of 5, Charlotte got the old heave ho from her breeder and was turned over to rescue. Charlotte went to a new home where she will be a pet-only, spoiled girl. Charlotte will now live a life of leisure and not have to "work" anymore. | |||
| Penny is a beautiful 1 year old red smooth female whose owners turned her in to the local kill shelter. Rescue got her out immediately and the very next day she was adopted by a couple who are already owned by 2 older special needs rescued Doxies. Penny can now enjoy the rest of her life in her loving forever home. |

| Melissa was one of 4 doxies left behind when her owner passed away. Someone brought all 4 to the shelter where I was lucky enough to get them all. Melissa was the last of the 4 to go to her very special forever home. | ||||
| Max's owner died, leaving him without a permanent home. Luckily, it wasn't long before he found a new forever family. Now Max is going to be a "travelin' man" in his 40' 5th wheel, going to Montana in a few weeks. | |||
| Pollyanna is a feisty 2 year old female whose owner gave her the boot because she didn't get along with the family's Chihuahuas. Pollyanna is in a new home where her two moms will work with her and make her the wonderful sweet dog that she can be. |

| Jack is a long hair dapple puppy that was a stud fee dog, The plan was to use him for breeding. I never pay for a rescue dog, but I made an exception in this case to get Jack out of the breeding cycle. There are just too many Dachshunds in need of homes to create more. Jack is now a pet who will be neutered when he's old enough and enjoy his life with his new family. | ||||
| Sweet Oscar found himself in a kill shelter where his family dumped him when they had to move. Dachshund Rescue got him out and he was only in foster care for 2 weeks before he was adopted by a couple who will give him more value than something to kick to the curb if they have to move. Oscar is very, very happy in his new home where he also has a girl doxie for a friend. | |||
| Sweet old Gus found himself in the local kill shelter in his senior years. He came into rescue where we enjoyed his silliness (sitting in his water bowl) for only 2 weeks before he was adopted. Gus is now living with a single senior gentleman and he even has his own life jacket for when they go out on the boat. No more sitting in the water bowl for Gus! |

| I was called and asked if I could take Freddie from an owner who could no longer keep him. I immediately found a home for Freddie but their other Dachshund, who was half Freddie's size, terrorized him. Without letting me know, the family gave Freddie to their neighbor who really loved him. But Freddie became a burden there, too. So Freddie came back to me. A couple fell in love with Freddie's picture and agreed to adopt him. Freddie is now in his forever home with his brother Barney, where he is loved and spoiled and his days of moving from home to home are over. | ||||
| I received a call from a breeder who wanted to give up a beautiful wire hair doxie. Her name was Mya Rose and she'd had 2 litters of puppies and was tired of working. A couple who had filled out an application for a wire doxie were contacted and asked if they wanted to meet Mya. They said yes. It was love at first sight and Mya Rose went to her new forever home that same day. Mya Rose is now a contented girl with a doxie friend, a great family, and, best of all, no more puppies. | |||
