Diamond is 8 weeks old, born on 11/25/12, the day after Thanksgiving. She has had her first puppy shot and been dewormed. Diamond needs a home where someone will be home with her a lot in order to train her to be a good little doxie and housebreak her. She is a very active playful puppy and would really enjoy a little playful dog to keep her company and play with her.

An approved application is required for Diamond's adoption. Her adoption donation is $300 plus $100 refundable spay fee. $100 will be returned when proof of spay is provided. For more information on Diamond, feel free to call 661 943-4888 or email me.
This little mini boy is Alfie aka The Skipper. I found him in the local kill shelter, underweight, dehydrated, cold and depressed. He went from the shelter to the vet where they gave him sub-q liquids and kept him over night until he was feeling well enough to protest being in a cage. Now he is in a foster home where he gets plenty of good food, water, sunshine and love. He is a real lap dog. He is learning to use the doggie door.

Alfie is 4 years old and the reason we call him "The Skipper" is because when he runs, he picks up his back leg and runs like the dickens on 3 legs. When he walks, he walks on all 4s with no sign of any leg problem. He just likes to run on 3 legs. Alfie is a very unusual color. When I saw him in the shelter, I thought he was a brindle. But when I got him out in the light, I could see he is a very deep dark red with an even darker dapple. In all my years of being around doxies, I thought I had seen every color but this was new to me. His color is gorgeous.

Alfie is vision impaired in his right eye but it doesn't seem to bother him at all. He is neutered and up to date on shots. He will get his teeth cleaned prior to adoption. He weighed 9 lbs at the vet but when he is the perfect weight, he should weigh between 10 & 11 lbs.

If you are looking for a love bug who will keep you smiling, consider this precious little guy who somehow survived a lousy beginning probably being kept as an outside dog. He deserves lots of love and care for the rest of his life.

An approved application is required for Alfie's adoption. His adoption donation is $225.00. For more information regarding Alfie, feel free to call 661 943-4888 or email me.
This beautiful girl was taken to a kill shelter by her owner. That's not so unusual these days, but Peanut was pregnant. A kind lady interfered before Peanut was put in the shelter, took her home and allowed her to have her puppies in a safe place. When the lady could no longer keep Peanut and her pups, she contacted rescue for help. We were only to happy to help this beautiful girl and her babies.

Now Peanut has weaned her pups and will be spayed as soon as all her milk dries up. Then Peanut will be ready for her new forever home, approximately at the end of January. Peanut is 3 years old, weighs 14 lbs and is up to date on shots. She's a sweet girl who has been through a lot in her short life. Peanut would love a home of her own where she can live out the rest of her life with love, care and comfort. She's certainly earned it.

For more information on Peanut, feel free to call 661 943-4888 or email me.An approved application is required for Peanut's adoption. Her adoption donation is $250.00.
This beautiful girl is Angel. She is somewhere between 12 and 14 months old and is looking for a new forever home. Angel loves to be around people and is a very sweet girl. Angel weighs 9 lbs and will remain a mini doxie.

Angel has been moved around several times in her short life so is a bit insecure and will take a little time to settle in to her new home and relax. She is not used to walking on a leash but does pretty good with her hug-a-dog harness on. Because of all her life changes, Angel needs work on her housebreaking. She's a bit confused but will learn to use the doggie door at her foster home where she is staying temporarily with Cricket.

Angel will get along fine with other small dogs. She is up to date on shots, had a teeth cleaning, and is spayed.

For more information on Angel, feel free to call 661 943-4888 or email me. An approved application is required for Angel's adoption. Her adoption donation is $275.00

ADOPTED!! This sweet little girl is Cricket. She is approximately 9 months old and is looking for her forever home. Cricket has been moved around several times already in her short little life and since she became mine, I hope the next place she goes will be her last.

Cricket is very loving and cuddly but highly active. It will take her a little time to feel secure and settle in to her new home. Cricket is a still a puppy and acts like a puppy. She likes to chew and needs work on her house training. Cricket needs a home where there is someone to give her a lot of attention so she can become a sweet well behaved doxie.

Cricket weighs 7.8lbs and will remain a mini doxie. She is up to date on shots, had her last puppy tooth removed, and is spayed. Cricket is currently being fostered with Angel. She will get along with other small dogs

An approved application is required for Cricket's adoption. Her adoption donation is $275.00. For more information on Cricket, feel free to call 661 943-4888 or email me.

This is Chicklet, a 9 year old wire hair doxie. He was saved from the local kill shelter and now is being fostered in south eastern CA. Chicklet weighs about 20 lbs. He chases cats and has a very typical Doxie personality. Personally, I think he couldn't be cuter. For more information on Chicklet, please e-mail Cookie at cookiecookier@gmail.com
Update:
Newton is doing great in a new foster home. He loves other dogs now and even loves his foster dad. He is fine with men now but needs time to adjust to strangers. We still want him to be in an adult only home. He is currently living with a male and female dog and he loves them both. We attached two videos of him. Below is a new bio that some of you asked for. Thank you again for any assistance.

Newton
2 years old, Red, Dachshund. Doxi lovers rejoice because Newton is available to join your family. He looks pure to us but then again we were not there to meet his parents. Sweet and colored like a fig cookie, Newton weighs 16 pounds. Newton was left at the shelter because his family had no time for him. Newton needs to learn how to get along with strangers, but once you gain his trust he is your best friend for life. He will greet you at the door every day so joyfully that you'll wonder what you ever did without him. All he needs is some love, affection and attention, the three magic ingredients, and he'll wag his tail for you so furiously that his whole little body wiggles. He will do much better with a household where children are almost adults. He also loves to play with squeaky toys and other dogs, but will drop everything for a belly rub. He's neutered, microchipped and current on all vaccines Click on link to watch Newton play. Or copy and paste:

From his foster home:

Fred, my long-legged doxie is an approximately 8 year old mix. He's the most "un-needy" of all my dogs and rarely asks for much. He is a great walker and really loves his walks, and has lots of good energy. He's had his dental and is missing his front teeth, which doesn't bother him a bit. His blood work came back with an "all is good". However, he does have a heart murmur with a slightly enlarged heart, but it doesn't affect him at all.

I tell people he's like don rickles - he's grumbly on the outside and sweet on the inside. he makes the funniest grumbly noises that i've never heard on another dog - it give him character if you ask me. and he's mildy shy and politely affectionate. he's a good guy. He'd be good in a home where he'll get walks and he can be either the only dog or a friend to another dog in the household. for some reason he seems drawn to grandfatherly types which is really sweet when it happens.

This cute little guy is Curtis. A Schnauzer rescue took his mom out of the shelter not knowing she was pregnant. When the pups were born all looked like Schnauzers except Curtis, he looked like a wire hair doxie. He looks nothing like any of the other dogs in the litter.

Curt is 4 months old and just the sweetest boy ever. He loves to be held and snuggles right up to your face. If you love Schnauzers and love doxies, this may be the boy for you. For more information on Curtis, please call Joyce at 661 9457-3537.
