Hansel
This is handsome Hansel, a 5 1/2 year old long hair cream. If Hansel doesn't look like most cream doxies you've seen in the past, it's probably because he was born in a puppy mill in Minnesota and shipped to CA. His previous owner shaved his beautiful long hair so it will be 6 months or more before he shows how beautiful he really is.

Hansel is a very sweet boy, a bit shy and skittish but let's face it, he's just been yanked from the only home he's ever known. He's warming up quickly and will do the same when he finds his new forever home.

Hansel is neutered and will have proof of shots prior to adoption. He loves kids but will not be adopted to a home with very young toddlers. Hansel is good with other dogs and cats. He walks well on the leash, travels well in the car and uses the doggie door. He is housebroken.

An approved application is required for Hansel's adoption. For more information feel free to call 661 943-4888. Hansel is located in Lancaster, CA. His adoption donation is $200.

Laurel
These two handsome boys are Laurel, red smooth, and Hardy, black and tan. They were both found in a parking lot at a Best Western, one with a new blue collar but no name tag. Every effort has been made to find their owners but we have been unsuccessful. So we are now looking for a new loving home for these boys.

These dogs were obviously cared for and loved, are very affectionate. They were neutered and housebroken. They have been checked out by a vet who estimates them to be approximately 5 to 6 years old. They are up to date on shots and will be micro chipped prior to adoption. They must be adopted as a pair as Hardy is very timid of strangers and follows Laurel everywhere. He never lets Laurel out of his sight. They need a home that will be patient and loving and give Hardy time to warm up and get over his fear of strangers.

Both boys are overweight so need a low cal diet. They are good with other dogs, not hyper, not barkers except when they want to go out or when it's dinner time. They are very much food hogs and need to be watched as they will eat anything they get their noses into. The dogs have not been tested with cats. They prefer to stay indoors and only go out to do their business and want to come right back inside.

An approved application is required for Laurel and Hardy's adoption. Their adoption fee is $400 for the pair.

Ginger
This sweet senior is Ginger who was adopted from a shelter 11 years ago. But now the lady who adopted her has dementia and can no longer care for Ginger, sometimes forgetting to feed her. So Ginger is in search of a new forever home. But finding a home for Ginger has not been easy because Ginger is 14 years old. However, Ginger is healthy and very active due to the fact that she's not overweight. Ginger still has a few good years left in her and will give you her best lovin'.

Ginger gets along with other dogs, good with kids but would not be adopted to a home with small children. She has just had a teeth cleaning and is in very good health.

If you understand the true meaning of rescue, giving a loving home to a dog in need rather than shopping for the perfect dog, then you might consider Ginger.

For more information on Ginger call 661 943-4888. An approved application is required for Ginger's adoption. Her adoption fee is a donation to rescue.

Nini
ADOPTED!! This precious girl is Nini (pronounced NeeNee) and she is in need of a new forever home. Nini was once an agility dog, trim and fit. But she ended up in a different home and was allowed to get chunky. Nini is a long hair black and tan but she has very unusual markings. She has a silver dapple streek down her back and her tail is silver. Nini weighs 15 lbs but should weigh between 12 and 13lbs. She is on a weight management food as of today and hopefully will take off some of her weight. Nini is only 3 years old and should be fit as a fiddle. But her extra weight doesn't stop her from jumping up on things she wants to check out. She is a very curious little girl.

Nini gets along with other doxies but is not fond of big high energy dogs. They scare her, so she snaps at them. Nini likes to go for walks, rides well in the car but may need something to help with car sickness. Nini doesn't like to be confined, she's a free spirit. She's very smart, affectionate and learns quickly. She likes a lot of attention. Nini is spayed and up to date on all her shots. Nini would be a great dog for a retired person who can spend lots of time with her. These pictures were taken before Nini was bathed and groomed so she will be even more beautiful once she gets to the groomer.

For more information on Nini, feel free to call me at 661 943-4888 or email me. An approved application is required for Nini's adoption. Her adoption fee is $225.

Dee Dee
This is Dee Dee and she is in need of a new forever home. She's a beautiful 2 year old red smooth tweenie girl who is very sweet but very insecure. She is very loving and will follow you EVERYWHERE so you don't disappear. Dee Dee is spayed, up to date on shots and negative for worms and heartworms. She is learning the doggie door and working on her potty training. She's a fast learner. Dee Dee gets along with other doxies, is not crazy about sleeping in a crate but prefers the big bed with her people. Being close to her people makes her feel secure. Dee Dee is too insecure to be in a home with very small children.

Dee Dee will be ready to go to a new forever home after February 15th. For more information on Dee Dee, feel free to call me at 661 943-4888 or email me. An approved application is required for Dee Dee's adoption. Her adoption fee is $275.

Mr. Pepper
ADOPTED!! This handsome guy is Mr. Pepper and Mr. Pepper is in need of a new forever home. Unfortunately, Mr Pepper has gone through 2 previous homes due to circumstances beyond his control.

Mr Pepper is a 2 year old chocolate dapple who loves playing with other doxies, likes toys, enjoys going for walks and travels well in the car. He loves people, sitting on your lap and belly rubs. He is OK with older children who will treat him with respect. He is about 95% housetrained. Mr Pepper is neutered and up to date on shots. There's really nothing negative about this beautiful boy. Handsome dudes like this don't come along every day.

If you are interested in giving Mr. Pepper his last, and forever, home, an approved application is required for his adoption. His adoption fee is $275. For more information regarding Mr. Pepper, feel free to contact me at 661 943-4888 or email me

Turbo
ADOPTED!! This is Turbo, a 10 month old standard beautiful red boy who needs a new home. When Turbo meets you he acts like he wants to bite your head off but it's all bark and no bite. He's a very sweet, young boy who needs some training and socialization to bring out the best in him. He is very protective of his house when people come to visit.

Turbo spends a lot of time alone so he needs a home where his family has more time to spend with him and train him. He walks on a leash, travels well in the car, and would be better with a female dog rather than a male since he thinks he's an alpha male already at 10 months old.

Turbo is neutered and up to date on shots. He's a very loving and sweet boy once he gets to know you which doesn't take long. Turbo would be better in a doxie experienced home where they wouldn't give up on this great guy.

An approved application is required for Turbo's adoption. His adoption fee is $250. For more information on Turbo, feel free to call me in the pm at 661 943-4888 or email me

Turbo

Star
ADOPTED!! This is Star, a beautiful deep red long hair girl who is 2 years old. She has spent most of her life in a garage. During the day she's in the garage waiting for her owner to return home from work. At night she had a bed in the garage. But her owner is moving to an apartment and not able to take Star with her.

Star would like a better life than being a garage dog. She's very sweet, gets along with other dogs and really enjoys having a yard. She will learn the doggie door when she feels better. She's just been spayed and had her teeth cleaned. Her gums were infected so I'm sure she didn't feel all that well up until now. Other than that she's a healthy beautiful girl.

Star would love a home where she will get more TLC than spending most of her life in a garage. She has a lot of love to give and will make an awesome pet for years to come.

An approved application is required for Star's adoption. Her adoption fee is $275.

COURTESY LISTINGS

Nikki and Axel
Nikki and Axel are a mother son team that I need fostering for. Their foster mom fell and tore her acl!!! OUCH! Nikki and Axel are not doing well at all at the kennel!!! They are very depressed....pound flashbacks I think :(

Nikki is 10 and Axel is 5. They are crate trained and VERY bonded! They were dumped at the pound by a couple divorcing. They were in horrible shape when we got them. They have been given each a clean bill of health, up to date on their shots and both are fixed. Nikki loves to rest in the sun and Axel is an excellent hiking/jogging partner. They both get along with other dogs and children.
To adopt/foster Nikki and Axel, please email Rachelle.

Dee Dee
This is Amy, a female boxer mix puppy who was found wandering around a trailer park scared and afraid. She weighs about 40 lbs. and is approximately 8 months old. She gets along well with other dogs and loves kids. However, she probably won't do well with cats, so it would be best if she went to a home without them. She wouldn't go near anyone but since Cookie has a way with dogs, she just told Amy to stay put and let her pick her up which Amy did.

She's been spayed (the reason for the pressure band) and up to date on shots. Amy is house-trained and very smart and energetic. She is a very active young girl who likes to get into the raw potatos if you let her. She needs a yard and exercise to keep her out of trouble. With training and the right home, Amy will make a great companion for an active family that has time for her. For more information on Amy, please email Cookie.
